No te inventes cosas. Todos lo hacemos, es casi una epidemia. No sé si se pueden clasificar como mentiras o embustes, pero todos nos inventamos cosas. Sobre todo en cuanto a sentimientos y emociones se refiere. A veces las decimos casi sin pensar. Escuchamos frases del tipo de: “ya no me quieres”, “a ellos los quieres más”, “no me quiere nadie”, “qué solo estoy”. Frases que nos hacen daño y que lo único que intentan es atraer el amor pero de una forma equivocada. Si quieres abrazar a alguien, hazlo, dile que lo quieres y cuanto te gusta su compañía. No te inventes cosas, no te autoengañes con los sentimientos, que al final acaba uno creyéndoselo. Es algo que resulta agobiante para los demás, ya que no es cierto, y una forma de demandar amor totalmente inapropiada.

Don’t make things up. We all do – we practically live in an epidemic of lying. I don’t know if they would be considered lies or fibs, but we all make things up, especially when it comes to our feelings and emotions. And we say them without even thinking sometimes. We hear ourselves saying things along the lines of: “You don’t love me anymore”, “You love them more than you love me”, “No-one loves me” or “I’m all alone”. Such hurtful phrases only serve to attract love in the wrong way. If you want to hug someone, hug them, tell them that you love them and that you love being with them. Don’t make things up, don’t let your feelings fool you, because you eventually end up believing them. This becomes tiresome and annoying for others because it isn’t true and because it’s not right to demand love.
